Connecting Africa, the Caribbean, and the Diaspora
ECECA Global Outreach is a global 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in New York City, with branches in Barbados and Senegal, West Africa. We advance meaningful connections across Africa, the Caribbean, and the diaspora through cultural exchange, education, artistic collaboration, and strategic partnerships — developing initiatives that preserve heritage, strengthen intercultural understanding, and create opportunities across borders.
Building Meaningful Cultural, Educational, and Strategic Connections
ECECA Global Outreach is building a platform for intercultural connection rooted in shared history, creative expression, and long-term community value. Our work brings together artists, educators, researchers, cultural leaders, and partners who believe that heritage, knowledge, and collaboration can create meaningful impact across generations.
We are committed to developing programs that do more than celebrate culture. We work to create initiatives that educate, connect, preserve, and open new pathways for exchange, visibility, and sustainable opportunity.
"Heritage, knowledge, and collaboration as powerful foundations for lasting impact across generations."
A Deep and Historically Significant Relationship
The historical relationship between Africa, the Caribbean, and diaspora communities is deep, powerful, and globally significant. Yet many of the initiatives that could preserve these connections, expand public understanding, and translate shared heritage into present-day opportunity remain under-supported.
ECECA exists to help address that gap.
We believe cultural exchange is not only about celebration. It is also about education, preservation, public engagement, partnership, and development. By creating spaces for learning, artistic collaboration, dialogue, and strategic cooperation, we help transform shared heritage into meaningful programs with lasting value.

- Fragmented opportunities that could deepen Africa–Caribbean connections
- Under-documented cultural and historical narratives
- Underfunded exchange programs across the diaspora
- Limited visibility for diasporic artists and cultural practitioners
- Gaps in cross-regional educational engagement
- Missing platforms for strategic cultural development
